In April of 1871, twenty families arrived at what is now the town of Believe. This was the second one of two colonies selected by "Bruce Colony." The first had been rejected by many in that group. The following year, twenty-five more families arrived.
In 1881, the first train arrived in town, which ensured the existence of Believe.
